The "new spirit" revealed itself less than a decade later in Paris. From 1940 to 1944 the The Nazis of the Third Reich stored their looted Jewish cultural property in France. Some of the art was to be sent to the Fuehrermuseum in Linz. Many of these works were deemed “degenerate art” and “unworthy" of Nazis eyes. They were, however, found suitable for foreigners with money so were sold to the highest bidder on the international market. On the night of July 27th, 1942, unsold modern art, including great works by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Gauguin and Manet among others were burned in a bonfire on the grounds of the Jeu de Paume. It is heart breaking to think of either event. Mind you, I always heard the "thud" of the guillotine and the screaming of the crowd each time I passed by the Place de la Concorde. History is replete with events such as those mentioned here. It is good to remember them. It is also said to be instructional but I have my doubts about that.

Uri Avery is a Zionist propagandist and liar. His one objective is the propagation of the illegitimate Zionist entity. His support for the murderous jihadist terrorists in Libya and Syria, meant to destroy non-co-opted Arab states, is just part of that effort. You'll notice he foams at the mouth whenever anyone suggests a one state solution in Occupied Palestine -which would give Arabs an equal voice and reduce Zionists to one off several equal communities.

He's a hasbara liar, in other words.

It is an interesting dilemma. It may come to each city having 1 or 2 great libraries. I see that some small towns here have combined them with schools which I thought was a good idea. Lots of young people there and parents too. Might increase reading levels a tad. By the photo, its clear that usage is deplorable. Libraries around the world are faced with a generation that Twitters. Who's got time for book? Its good that they are planning to store them for future generations to look at along with men's ties. 'Martha look, they put these around their neck and held those things up in front of their faces!' Just another oddity from our time for the archeologists to dig up. I read somewhere about a plan T.O. libraries were using to increase traffic and revenues. If I come across it again I'll be sure to pass it on. Good luck. Things change and we oldsters often have a hard time believing it. Time was, a library was the only place to do research. Google does that now. I know, libraries have items and qualities that Google does not. Try selling that to the Social Media Generation. They have a life, you know!
