Boulez conducts Schoenberg

Nicole brought this superb concert to my attention: Pierre Boulez conducting the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France on 20 February 2009 in Arnold Schoenberg’s Transfigured Night & Variations for Orchestra. Marvelous to see the maestro, now in his eighties I believe, conducting these pieces with such spare and accurate elegance. It makes for a perfect Sunday. You can link to it here on the Arte site.
